Lillie Keenan won the $340,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Washington on Saturday, October 24, riding Kick On. He is a 12-year-old stallion owned by Chansonette Farm LLC. Honestly, this was the win I wanted most this fall.

Thirteen horses made the jump-off. Daniel Coyle and Farrel went fast and took the lead in 37.13 seconds. I thought that time would hold. Then Keenan came in a few rounds later and finished in 36.69. Nobody after her caught it. Coyle was second, 0.44 seconds back, and it was his second year in a row as runner-up in this class. I feel kind of bad for him. Shane Sweetnam and Pia Maria H were third in 38.09.

What I like most is that Keenan has competed at this show since she was eight. She won her first titles there on small ponies and worked up through equitation and the junior jumpers. This is her first President’s Cup. I think that makes it more fun to watch than a win from someone who just shows up once.

“Kick On is a one-in-a-lifetime horse,” she said afterward. I agree. He’s one of my favorite horses on the circuit right now. He covers ground without looking like he’s rushing.

This is her second World Cup win and her first with Kick On. Her first came in Las Vegas in 2022. The two have been partners for three seasons. They jumped at the World Cup Final in Basel in 2025 and finished in the top 10 at Fort Worth in April. My guess is they do better than that at next spring’s Final.

She also won the Leading Lady Rider Award for the week.
