What are your goals for your junior career?
To be consistent in the jumpers and really start improving in the 3’6 equitation.
Do you plan to go professional?
I am not sure yet. I still have a lot of time to decide.
Have you suffered any injuries? How did you recover?
I broke my ankle, and it was very difficult to recover mentally and get back into the ring, specifically on the horse I got injured on.
What’s your mental process?
When doing my courses, I view each jump individually. I also think about my round, rather than the results.
What’s your course walking routine?
I walk the course once by myself before my trainer comes. I also make sure I understand the track and everything that goes along with the track. For example, the inside turns and trot jumps.
Favorite horse and rider gear?
I love my horse’s bonnets due to the customizations. My favorite gear for myself is probably my show coats from Charles Ancona.
Favorite exercises to do with your horses?
I really enjoy doing bounces and gymnastics because they help to improve both horse and rider.
How do you balance competing with school?
I have 6 hours of one on one tutoring everyday during the winter circuit here in Florida. This makes it super easy for me to ride while still being on top of my school work.
What horse has impacted your career most significantly?
The horse that has impacted my career most significantly is a horse I currently have, Confidence. He has taught me so much and given me the opportunity to move up.
Where do you currently ride and why do you like it?
I currently ride at Sea-Aire with Laura Bowery, and I really like it because we train intensely while also having a good balance of fun.
