World no. 1 Kent Farrington does it again: taking home the $340,000 CSI5* Grand Prix win at MLSJ Greenwich aboard 11-year-old Zangersheide mare, Toulyana. This is his eighth 5* Grand Prix win this year. He is ranked number 1 so far, individually, this Major League season, after the third leg. The podium was rounded out by Daniel Bluman on Corbie V.V. and Ilan Bluman and Acajou. On Daniel, Farrington remarks, “[Daniel] beat me in the Toronto Grand Prix by fractions, so we got a little revenge today. That’s how the sport goes; it’s very small margins at the high level.” Kent sits on 59 points this season, and just behind him is Daniel Bluman with 54.
With Greenwich behind him, Kent’s on a roll heading into the rest of the season. It’s hard not to root for him to keep this streak alive and maybe snag even bigger titles by the year’s end.
